The Eaton Centre partners with Flare magazine and the Remix Project today with a two-part fashion show to start the holiday season.

Models from Elite Model Management will walk the showcase to be held in the centre court of Eaton Centre.

The first show will be held at noon today and will be curated by Flare magazines senior style and market editor Truc Nguyen. Remix Project graduates will step in for the 6 p.m. showing and literally ‘remix’ what was seen in the previous show.

The Remix Project helps artistically inclined youth from disadvantaged areas across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). The program is meant to help the youth hone their skills by giving them opportunities to work in the real world, like this collaboration with the Eaton Centre.

Both shows will showcase what is on trend for the holiday season but the Remix show at 6 p.m. will feature much more. Not only will it showcase styling done by the graduates themselves but a DJ will be taking the traditional Christmas songs – that make even your grandfather’s eyes glaze over after the Christmas eggnog – and putting a modern twist on them. Audience members will choose the songs in real time using social media.

The Eaton Centre will also announce more of its holiday programs.
