December 6 is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Humber College held a commemoration service at the North campus for students to reflect on the murders of 14 female students at l’École Polytechnique in 1989 as well as other women who’ve been victims of violence.
Humber professor Sharonne Stone lead the gathering with an explanation on gender-based violence in Canadian society as a way of inspiring change, solidarity and action.
