Central Tech’s field woes continue

Central Tech is without a field for gym classes, school sports, and recreational use.

In the middle of redeveloping the grass field into a championship calibre, artificial turf and dome facility, harmful metal pollutants were found in the soil. Since then, the field remains closed to the public, and more specifically, the school. On top of this, permit concerns surrounding the potential field is another road block.

While students continue to wait for their field of dreams, the dome debate rolls into a new school year with no solution in sight.
