Dubai Tennis Championships underway

The Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships has started with a host of the world’s best players competing for the title of champion.
Famous players like Roger Federer, Karolina Pliskova, Novak Djokovic, Venus Williams, and Rafael Nadal have already begun their matches in the tournament. Federer took his first match against Mikhail Youzhny with a straight-sets win.
Djokovic beat Vasek Pospisil, a Canadian who is currently the No. 2 ranked player in Canada.
On the women’s side, Simona Halep played Karolina Pliskova in the finals on Saturday and won with 6-4, 7-6 (4) as the final score. This earns Halep her second title this year after her win in Shenzhen, China last month.
The tournament will go until February 28.
