Houston Rockets guard James Harden has been suspended by the NBA for kicking Cleveland Cavaliers forward Lebron James in the groin during last Sunday night’s game.
Things got heated after five technical fouls and a scramble in the third quarter, which led to Harden falling on his back, kicking away James from the ball.
“It just kind of stayed kind of chippy all game long, which is fine,” said Houston coach Kevin McHale. “Some games are chippy like that,” he said.
The Rockets won the game 105-103, making a five game winning streak for the team.
Harden will return after the Rockets play Eastern Conference leaders, the Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday night.
