New York Jets running back Chris Johnson was wounded in a drive-by shooting that left another man dead in Orlando, Fla. Sunday.

Johnson, 29, was shot in the shoulder when an unknown vehicle pulled up beside their Jeep at a red light around 4 a.m. and began shooting.

Dreekius Oricko Johnson, 28, the driver of the Jeep, was killed. Reggie Johnson, 29, the third companion in the car, is in stable condition after being shot in the shoulder, hand and leg.

Authorities did not release additional information on Johnson, although he is being identified as NFL running back by sports news outlets.

The Jets did not pick up Johnson’s contact in February, making him a free agent as of Tuesday.

No arrests have been made and authorities will not be releasing information on the suspects.
