Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri has been taken out of tonight’s game against the New York Islanders, the Toronto Star reports.
Kadri was sent home after arriving late to practice on Sunday morning.
Kadri missed a team meeting and came late to practice after a 6-1 loss, The Globe and Mail reports.
The Leafs’ interim coach Peter Horacheck said Kadri was “not prepared. It wasn’t the snow,” CBC reports.
Horachek took over the coaching position for Randy Carlyle, who was fired at the beginning of January.
Kadri has 36 points in 64 games played this season.
