With the start of the new semester, we also see a new influx of exchange students. I myself, am English. Where I’m from, we use a lot of ‘slang’ words. Words you will hear and automatically think I am insane.

One word I say a lot is lush. Lush, in my head, means awesome/beautiful/nice. But it also is the name of a cosmetic company founded in the UK.

If I can be totally honest with you, most of the slang we use, means awesome/great. Sick means awesome. I know, weird.

Blud. Blud may seem like a negative remark, but it is actually the opposite. To be referred to as blud, should be seen as an honor. Blud makes you family.

I’ve also learnt a lot whilst I’ve been here. What I wear on my head when I am cold, is a beanie, but it is also a Toque. What a world.
