Cardi B is releasing a new song with Bruno Mars Friday.
The duo had major success with their song Finesse last year, which won two awards and reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The rapper made the announcement on Instagram yesterday after taking a two-day hiatus from the social media platform. It was her first post since her success and drama at the Grammy Awards.
Cardi B received backlash after winning the best rap album award for her album Invasion of Privacy. She is the first female solo artist to win in the category, but fans of the other nominees questioned whether she deserved the award.
In a since-deleted Instagram video, Cardi B defended her win and said she worked hard for the award.
Singer and actress Lady Gaga also defended the rapper on Twitter, saying it is “so hard to be a woman in this industry” and calling her brave.
