Captain Marvel has taken over box offices, making $69 million across its second week.
So far, the latest Marvel film has brought in more than $760 million (USD) worldwide.
The movie, starring actor Brie Larson, is also the 22nd highest grossing film in a superhero genre beating out other Marvel films such as Ant-Man and the Wasp, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Iron Man 2.
The film follows Carol Danvers, a U.S. pilot who gains superhuman abilities after a unique space mission.
She joins an elite group of warriors on a mission to defeat the Skrull, a shape-shifting alien race bent on destroying the galaxy.
