Another milestone for Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, as he passes Jacques Plante for most wins in franchise history.

Price reached the new record after a 3-1 win at home against the Detroit Redwings on March 12.

The 31 year old goalie from Anahim Lake, British Columbia is no stranger to success and is considered by many to be one of the best goaltenders in the world.

Price made 20 saves in the win, an important game for the Canadiens as they battle for a playoff spot.

The previous record made by Plante has gone untouched since the late goaltender won his 314th game in 1963.

“It was a great time to share with the fans” said Price, “I’ll definitely have time to reflect on it, but I don’t feel that time is quite yet”.

With twelve games left in the season, and a playoff spot up for grabs, the team and Price still have a long way to go.
