The Pittsburgh Penguins Evgani Malkin reached the 1000 point mark last night in a game against the Washington Capitals. Malkin had two assists in the game.
That makes 391 goals and 609 assists over 848 games for the Russian star, who has played with the Penguins since being drafted in 2004.
Malkin, 32, is the 88th NHL player to pass the 1000 point threshold, and the first to do it since the Vancouver Canucks Daniel Sedin in November 2017.
It was also a big night for another Russian player on the ice, as The Washington Capitals Alexander Ovechkin got his 1200th career point.
