A small aircraft slammed across a road, nearly hitting a driver, in Markham, near the Buttonville airport, on Tues. afternoon.
The Toronto Transportation Safety Board reports the aircraft went down around 2 p.m. and came to full stop on an embarkment near 16th Avenue on Highway 404.
The pilot and sole passenger on the plane were uninjured but the plane sustained severe damages.
The near crash was caught on Bill Chan’s truck dash cam. Chan told CBC the plane was roughly two car lengths away from his own truck.
The cause of the crash remains unknown and the TSB is still investigating.
