Cholera cases continue to grow in the country of Mozambique following cyclone Idai. Over 1000 cases have been reported and there could be more according to several news outlets. The number of people infected jumped from 139 since the outbreaks were confirmed on March 29.

Around 50 health clinics have been destroyed as reported by Radio Mozambique. According to the World Health Organization, 900 thousand vaccines were to be delivered on Tuesday to the city of Beira which has seen the majority of cases. 959 out 1052 cases were reported in the city.

Vaccinations will begin on Wednesday, said Mozambique Health official Ussein Isse.
