Humber’s Lakeshore Campus is hosting Mind Map: A Mental Health Summit.
The event – organized by the Canadian mental health charity: Jack.org – includes yoga, guided meditation, and seminars from mental health professionals. The event’s main focus is to teach students how to self-care.
Organizer Hailey Appel says the event grew out of the Humber community’s passion and commitment to mental health. Appel says the event is part of “breaking down the stigmas and barriers that exist and make it challenging for students to take care of themselves.”
Mind Map is a result of six months of collaboration between Humber students and Jack.org. Free lunch in addition to mental health services today until 3 p.m. in the G building.
