As a young person, a lot of my issues stem from the environment,” says Carina Smal, a 20-year-old general science student at the University of Manitoba.

Smal was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She says she has always been passionate about the environment.

In the interview with Skedline for the Cross Canada Project, an initiative to gather young people from across Canada to discuss their concern on the upcoming federal election, Smal talks about what she expects from the next government and what needs to change.

Monday vote  is “the last election before we reach the point of no return…. climate-wise,” Smal says.

“It’s worth it, it’s worth your time, and it’s worth it for your future,” says Smal on encouraging young voters to vote.
