After the results: The Cross Canada Project – Quebec

On Monday, October 21, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was re-elected and will now oversee a minority government.

We previously talked with Nancy Jiung, 20, a medicine student in Quebec City, Quebec. She wasn’t very engaged with politics but had decided to vote.

In a follow-up chat with Jiung, we tackled a few topics: her reactions, what this means for future medicine graduates, the engagement of her classmates on voting day and her hopes for the future.

This is the conclusion piece of the Cross Canada Project. Third-year journalism students talked to young people from all over the country about issues they wanted to be addressed during the 2019 Federal Election, and what they expected from candidates.
