Super Bowl 54 kicks off this Sunday in Miami, Florida at the Hard Rock Stadium, as Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Franciso 49ers take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be headlining this year’s halftime show. Some companies will be spending up to $5.6 million to advertise their products on Sunday. Here is everything you need to know for the big game.

San Francisco 49ers
Garoppolo returns to the Super Bowl but this time he is the starting quarterback and will be in a 49ers uniform, opposed to a New England Patriots one. Garoppolo has won two Super Bowls with the Patriots, the first being when the Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 49, and the second Super Bowl win came against the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl 51. This will be the 49ers 7th all-time Super Bowl appearance (5-1)

Kansas City Chiefs
Mahomes playing in only his third NFL season will be making his Super Bowl debut Sunday giving him an opportunity to win his first Super Bowl.

Mahomes is leading the Chiefs in passing yards with 615 yards, and is leading the team in rushing yards with 106 yards. If Mahomes pulls off this win in the Super Bowl, the conversation of the best quarterback in the NFL will change drastically.

This will be the Chief’s third appearance at the Super Bowl.

Jagteswar Dhillon, a student from Ryerson University, is going with the Chiefs because of their superstar quarterback, Mahomes. “Chiefs are gonna win cause my man Mahomes is gonna go off, and I’m looking forward to the most likely high scoring game the battle between the best offence vs the best defence.”

Danny Pham, a student from Humber College, is also going with Mahomes and the Chiefs because of their unstoppable offence. “The Chiefs because of their astatic offence, and when they start getting hot they are hard to stop.”
