Nimrit Singh is a journalist and writer interested in all things sports, from playing sports to writing sports on The Hockey Writers where he covers the Chicago Blackhawks. Like many sports fans, we saw something that we never saw before this past summer from all major sports being shut down indefinitely to athletes putting racial and social injustice issues first before playing the game they love, which leads to Nimrit`s thesis. His thesis is called Professional sports and activism and in it, he talks to professional athletes, teams, and media members to dig in deeper and answer questions such as what is the ultimate goal of their activism? Which professional leagues are leading the way and which leagues are lagging behind?
