TORONTO – The college faculty and College Employer Council (CEC) reached an agreement late Thursday night to enter binding interest arbitration. The agreement ends the potential strike for professors, councillors, and librarians, as well as the work-to-rule that had been put in place a few weeks ago.

With the strike no longer in play, students may resume classes regularly without any worry.

The negations have been on-going for months as college faculty proposed binding interest arbitration in November. With the CEC agreeing to the initial proposal, the arbitrator can rule on each issue under examination.
