The Humber Students’ Federation (HSF) election season is in full swing with campaign posters already plastered around campus showcasing the candidates and their platforms.
Last year HSF saw its highest number in students voter turnout. HSF Project Coordinator Vanessa Silaphet says 6,6609 students voted, which represents 23.8 per cent of the student population. That is higher than the 5,578 who voted in the 2012 elections.

Game programming students at Humber who petitioned the school with concerns about their faculty last fall now say that they’re seeing improvements in their classes.
The students had prepared and signed a petition mid-November of 2013, which listed concerns about instructor absenteeism and unreturned assignments. In the petition, the students had named more than half of their professors.

The Humber Students’ Federation (HSF), the student government, has begun its elections nomination period and already prospective candidates are anxious about the elections process.
HSF President Timothy Brilhante said he finds it very admirable that students are showing interest in being part of student governance.
