Mayor Rob Ford says he won’t step down despite the revelation from police Chief Bill Blair confirming the existence of a video, which appears to show the mayor smoking crack.

Councillor Joe Mihevc (Ward 21 St. Paul’s) spoke to media gathered outside Mayor Rob Ford’s office today to address the controversy surrounding the mayor. Mihevc spoke candidly about the “trauma” that Torontonians are experiencing in light of the revelation from police Chief Bill Blair confirming the existence of a video, which appears to show Mayor Ford smoking crack.

“The chief magistrate clearly has an addictions issue of one form or another,” said Mihevc. “I hope what he’s doing in his office right now is looking himself in the mirror and saying ‘I need to come clean with Torontonians.’”
