The Blue Jays will host their annual State of the Franchise press conference tomorrow night at the Rogers Centre.

The press conference gives season ticket holders a chance to  ask questions about the ball club’s plans for the team.

“It’s open to all season ticket holders,” says Jay Santos, media relations for the Blue Jays.

President Paul Beeston, general manager Alex Anthopoulos and manager John Gibbons will field questions, according to the press release by the Blue Jays organization.

A lot of questions will be asked regarding last season’s poor finish.

“Well, firstly I think Gibbons needs to go. Great guy but definitely not the manager for this team. He’s too laid back, they need a motivator. I’d give him a month and a half, if they’re doing bad, I’d fire him,” says Nick Raponi, 19, who is a Ryerson journalism student and loyal Blue Jays fan.

The Blue Jays finished with a 74-88 record and in last place in the American League East.

“Also, I think they could use some more starting pitching before the season starts. They have very little depth, and with their history of injuries, depth is key,” says Raponi.

The press conference begins at 6:30 p.m.  If you are not a season ticket holder, the conference will be live streamed on bluejays.com.
