India’s government censors have blocked ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ from playing at cinemas.
The big-screen adaptation of the erotic novel “Fifty Shades of Grey” was denied approval by the Central Board of Film Certification, a decision most had seen coming in the largely conservative country.
The chief executive of the CBFC declined to explain why the panel refused to approve the film but said Universal Pictures could appeal the decision.
