The boys of summer are back, and making cuts to the squad.

The Toronto Blue Jays sent pitcher Jayson Aquino and catcher Derrick Chung to the minors, according to bluejays.com. The Jays need to dwindle down their team from the current 65 players before their opening season series that starts April 13th.

Prospect pitcher Aaron Sanchez pitched three hitless innings as the Blue Jays lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates 1-0 in Dunedin. According to CBC, Toronto fell to 3-3 on the pre-season.

Pitcher Marcus Stroman and catcher Russell Martin will help add some well-needed character to the squad for their upcoming season, Sportsnet reports.

The Jays are hoping to make the playoffs for the first time since their World Series win in 1993. Touch ’em all Joe.
