The Game of Thrones television series about a mythical kingdom is coming out on HBO for audiences at a faster pace than the book.

The Game of Thrones red carpet premiere will stream on Facebook and visuals will be shared on Instagram. According to the HBO press release the U.S. premiere of the fifth season will be held today in San Francisco at the War Memorial Opera House.

Facebook viewers will be able to view behind the scenes footage and ask questions they have been dying to ask the cast. The cast members who are scheduled to attend are Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Maisie Williams, and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau. By Friday, already over 300 questions have been posted on Facebook. According to the press release, HBO will give fans the opportunity to experience the red carpet action for a second year in a row.

Television producers David Benioff and D.B Weiss say they are not stopping the production of the TV series despite the slower writing pace of author George R.R Martin. The series is being produced faster than Martin can write the material for them.

Fans are still waiting on the sixth book The Winds of Winter.  The only fear is book-readers might see spoilers in the series before they are finished reading. Producer  Benoiff said in the Time Magazine press release he wishes he didn’t have to spoil anything for the fans who are only reading the books, but the show must go on.

Season five premieres April 12 on HBO as well as on HBO Now, the network’s streaming service, which will also launch that day on Apple TV. According to Entertainment Weekly, HBO boss Michael Lombardo says he hopes the show will last a decade.
