Defenceman Jordan Leopold was traded to the Minnesota Wild yesterday from the Columbus Blue Jackets at the request of Leopold’s 11 year-old daughter, Jordyn.
Jordyn pleaded with the Minnesota Wild office in a letter to accept her father on the team so he could be closer to home and spend more time with his family.
Leopold, 34, has scored one goal and two assists in his 25 games with the Blue Jackets and has a record of 67 goals and 146 assists in 677 career games.
