The Kyle Lowry-less Toronto Raptors walloped the Knicks 106 – 89 at the ACC yesterday.
Demar Derozan stepped up in Lowry’s absence, scoring 23 points, including a few on thunderous slam dunks. Tyler Hansborough had a season high of 18 off the bench, helping the Raptors win for the third time in four games.
Lowry was inactive for the second straight game after injuring his back in a fall when playing Minnesota on Wednesday.
Lance Thomas scored a career high 24 points for the Knicks and the game marked a coming home for former Raptor number one draft pick, Andrea Bargnani. The reception was a somewhat chilly one, as Bargnani was booed during announcements and on most touches.
Raptors play the Pistons at home this Wednesday.
