IGNITE, the student government at Humber College hosted its annual NBA2K video game tournament today at both the North and Lakeshore campuses. It was free for all students to participate in and open to all Humber and Guelph-Humber students.

“We do tournaments every year,” says Kedesha Syblis, who is the Services Coordinator for Humber College’s Lakeshore Campus.

Tournament set up:

  • Single elimination tournament
  • Limited to 16 players
  • Three (3) minute quarters
  • Championship game will play on 5 minute quarters
  • Three (3) minute overtime
  • Lower ranked (by OVERALL) team will be “away.”

Prizes for winning included:

  • 1st Place: Pair of Raptors or Leafs tickets
  • 2nd Place: $50 EB Games gift card
  • 3rd Place: $25 Best Buy gift card
