Wendy Williams has announced she will not return to her daytime talk show due to ongoing battle with Graves disease. Williams is the host of the show which poses conflicts to the staff and the future of the program being on air.
Williams, 54, started her career on radio. Her television talk show has run for 10 seasons.
Williams made it public during the show’s Hot Topics segment about her struggles with Graves disease. In 2017, Williams fainted on air which resulted in her sharing her health concerns. After an extended holiday break of this year, Williams did not return to the show.
Williams says that her injured shoulder and Graves disease is the reason for her stepping down for now and giving herself time to heal and recover. Since her absence the show has been using a panel of hosts to discuss the latest topics circulating the entertainment industry.
The future of the show is unclear.
