Stevie Rae Elgersman feels politically isolated in the small town of Brooks, Alta.
He’s too far away from anywhere to participate in the Global Climate Strikes, the only symbols of LGBT pride his town has ever put into place were immediately vandalized, and so far, he’s only been motivated to vote for the first time this year.
As a transgender man with aspirations of saving the world from climate disaster, Stevie is hopeful that this election cycle, his vote will count.
