Skedline reporter Sarah Taher interviewed Cole Turner before election day. Cole, 22, is Anishinaabe from Temagami First Nations. He talked about his hopes and concerns for the election. During that pre-election interview, Cole said the clean water crisis is the top issue he wants the next government to initiate action to end the crisis.
Now, with the Liberal minority government, Cole says he is hopeful that a Trudeau government will “really stop anyone from steamrolling anybody else.”
Cole says he is hopeful that a Liberal government will bring more respect for Indigenous people and all people in Canada.
