The Hamilton Tiger-Cats lost the Grey Cup championship 12-33 to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers last weekend, but the defeat has only renewed the team’s dedication to next season.

Both teams were coming off a win-drought. Winnipeg’s last win was 29 years ago, while Hamilton hadn’t held the cup in 20.

In spite of the loss, the Tiger Cats are excited to have made it this far. Ti-Cats runningback Bralon Addison says “this is the most fun I’ve had playing football in I don’t know how long.”

T-Cats linebacker Simoni Lawrencethe echoed this sentiment. “This is just one of the best locker rooms I’ve ever been a part of.”

Meanwhile, Blue Bombers fans wasted no time in celebrating their team’s first win in 29 years.

Next year’s Grey Cup will be held at Calgary’s McMahon Stadium on Nov. 24.
