Gerard Depardieu under investigation for sexual violence

Gerard Depardieu, a 72-year-old French actor, has been placed under a formal investigation for rape and sexual violence charges.

Reuters is reporting Depardieu’s lawyer has not commented on the case.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a judicial source told Reuters this is not the first case of sexual violence against the actor by the French police.

Depardieu is also known for his scandal with the presidential administration in 2012, which lead to him refusing his citizenship and leaving France.
