The Humber Lakeshore gym is about to expand–but students will have to wait a couple of years to see the result.
“Plans are still to be determined, but we believe there will be three floors. [There will be] a weight room, a cardio area, [and] a fitness area,” says Micheal Kopinak, Manager of Student Services at Humber College. “We’re thinking 2015, but 2016 is more realistic.”

Krista Bridge is coming to Humber college Wednesday to discuss her work with students.
Bridge will be the next author to participate in the Humber Literary Series, a program that allows students to meet the authors of the text they read in class. The former Humber teacher will give a short reading and discuss her short series, “The Virgin Spy”, with students. Former colleague and organizer Ben Labovitch is excited for her to return.

What better use for a beautiful day than a light rail commute? Well, I can think of a few things, mostly everything, but off I went anyways with my Skedline peers in a race across Toronto to the Scarborough Town Centre. Up against Ustad’s car and Ore’s subway train, I knew there was little chance I would win, but I can say I got my fair share of vitamin D threw the streetcar and bus windows! Knock it but I’d take above ground commuting versus dark, scary tunnel commuting any day.
