As part of Humber College’s, President’s Lecture Series professor Timothy Caulfield will be visiting Humber’s North Campus on Nov. 1 to discuss health and fitness through the lens of Science vs. Celebrity Culture.

Caulfield is professor of law and public health at the University of Alberta, and is currently a Canada Research Chair in Health Law and Policy. He is both an author and editor of numerous academic articles and books, as well as speaker, and host of a television documentary series called, A User’s Guide to Cheating Death.

Much of Caulfield’s work is dedicated to separating fact from myth in regards to medical research and the public’s interpretation of it through mainstream media.

The Lecture will be held from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. in the North Campus’ KB building. There will be a question and answer period following the discussion and a reception.
