AUDIO OpEd – It shoulda been Major League Baseball’s Opening Day, but today, fans are crying the blues.

A month ago, supporters across the globe were looking forward to watching the boys of summer light it up.

For one thing, many wanted to see the Houston Astros get their due for its now public cheating scandal.  

Here at home in Toronto, fans were curious to see how their Blue Jays would perform. Would top pitching prospect Nate Pearson crack the team? How was the young core of Bo Bichette, Vlad Jr., and Cavan Biggio going to improve? 

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it so these questions may never be answered. 

Skedline reporter Christian Holmes explains how fans are feeling about there being no Opening Day baseball and talks about the MLB’s path forward once the COVID-19 pandemic is resolved.
