The Toronto Maple Leafs made a comeback late in the third period to defeat the Los Angeles Kings 1-3.
Auston Matthews scored once and assisted William Nylander in the third pulling the Maple Leafs ahead.
Matthews` assist to Nylander was also his 100thassist for his NHL career.
Nylander says “I was just looking to dish it back to Auston, and then I saw their defenseman stayed with him and that Quick was kind of set, I was able to pull it to the middle, and Quick just kind of opened”
This was also Tavares first game after missing the previous seven games with a broken finger.
The Maple Leafs improve to eight wins on the season and will look to continue their winning streak as they play the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow night at 7 p.m.
