Returning to school after a month-long break can be difficult for some students. To keep students happy and engaged, Humber College’s Ignite is kicking off this semester with a fun exclusive event.

MTV’S Wild ‘N Out will be at Humber College’s North campus tonight at 8:30. Wild ‘N Out is a live show that features rappers and comedians freestyling and playing crazy games, all while interacting with the audience. The event is set to be full of laughs, music, and crowd participation. Tickets were $15 each but have completely sold out.

Maheen Nazim, the vice-president of Ignite Guelph-Humber, said that the event caters to Humber students’ tastes. “We identified, through our student surveys, what type of events, music, and entertainment features are most popular and liked by our student body,” Nazim said. “Students have identified hip-hop/ R&B to be a genre that is well-received.”

Eternity Hervatin is a graphic design student at Humber College’s Lakeshore campus. Hervatin was upset when she found out that the tickets were sold out. “I really wanted to go but I was late trying to find someone to go with me,” Hervatin said. “By the time I found someone, the tickets had sold out.”

Luckily, students who missed the opportunity to get tickets can still have a chance to watch the show live. At 8:30 p.m. Ignite will be live-streaming the event on their website, for free!

For any Humber Lakeshore students who managed to score tickets to the event, a free shuttle bus is provided to take you there and back. The bus will be leaving from L building at 6:45 and returning once the show is over. The bus had limited seating and available on a first-come first-serve basis.

The shuttle bus will be picking up students outside of L building.
