The Toronto Maple Leafs announced today that the club has acquired forward Denis Malgin from the Florida Panthers in exchange for forward Mason Marchment.
Malgin has recorded 12 points in 36 games with the Panthers this season. He has split time between the AHL and NHL over the past three seasons.
Malgin was originally selected by Florida in the fourth round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
Marchment appeared in only four NHL games this season, all for the Maple Leafs. He was originally undrafted.
