After the first few weeks of the vaccine passport system enforcement, service workers in Ontario speak up against harassment caused by anti-vaxxers and anti-maskers.

The manager at Nadege Patisserie, Lauren Shelton said her staff has faced serious aggression by anti-vaccine protesters. She said there are regular instances of people yelling, swearing, stealing, and entering staff space. The business has also incurred losses due to the protests, Shelton said people don’t want to be around in the neighbourhood when there are hundreds of people protesting without a mask.

Cafe associate Jamie said if people need a vaccine passport, people with exemptions should have proof too. The staff thinks it’ll be easier to eliminate the possibility of people misusing exemption to enter non-essential indoor spaces.
