Rahma Ali is an aspiring journalist who loves reporting interviewing feature writing and audio production. Throughout her years of study, she’s found a great love for reporting on social issues and injustice around the city as well as the world.

Rahma’s journey with hijab began in 2019 and helped inspire her thesis topic. The Modest Memoirs is a podcast dedicated to conversations surrounding the hijab. Rahma takes you on a journey of hijab through the stories of some incredible hijabi women in different countries and cultures. Hijabi women face a lot of stereotypes and misconceptions and in each episode, Rahma dives into topics and scenarios to unpack some of the negative connotations as well as the positive ones that surround hijabi women. With every hardship in this thesis process, Rahma is overwhelmed with joy at the debut of her podcast series.
