Hansil Mehta is a journalist based in Toronto, Canada. He has interests in covering human rights, climate change and sports. Mehta has experience in radio broadcasting as a host, reporter and an associate producer. He currently works at CJSA-FM, a Hindi language radio station in the Greater Toronto Area. Mehta has also been a part of Surviving Hate, an investigative journalism project, as a student intern.

The project Surviving Hate inspired Mehta to report on systemic racism in the Canadian health care system and its impact on people. In this thesis project, Mehta brings perspectives from all over Canada and reports on how systemic racism determines health care outcomes for people and communities.
