Maria Lorena Pimentel is a Panamanian journalist with a love for everything art and culture related. Maria recently graduated from the Bachelor Degree in Journalism at Humber College and is currently working as a Public Relations Coordinator at VOCAB Communications.

As an avid reader and journalist, Maria has always been intrigued by how well people can communicate feelings and thoughts with their bodies. After having experienced a tough time with the COVID-19 pandemic herself and being moved by the world’s desire for human connection, she started researching the effects of the pandemic on human behaviour. This project discusses topics related to the use of masks, social distancing, online interactions, and mental health, all of which are factors that have somehow shaped the way people behave.
