Welcome to the first episode of The Hummm, a podcast created entirely by students in Humber College’s Bachelor of Journalism program.
In this episode, our student reporters will introduce you to different Humber alumni and bring you short stories about life after graduation.
First up, the story of an alumni who’s a landscaper, she tells reporter Tyler Therrien about how grateful she is for her apprenticeship program at Humber. A Humber student reflects on how life on campus has affected his music career a year after graduation, by reporter Adrien Glazer. Followed by a family chat between reporter and current student Preeti Malhi, and her brother, a Humber alumni. Next up reporter Tanzila Yusuf Patel talks to a Six Nations journalism graduate who quickly found herself out in the field after college. Reporter Patrick Amaya brings you a story about a Humber graduate who learned to adapt in his career in 3D modelling. To close our collection of short stories, Hummm reporter Vandita Kumar introduces the audience to an olympic contender and Humber alumni, who’s also a current student of Guelph-Humber as well as a sports coach at Humber’s north campus.
